Encore Saenger is a locally led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designated by the City of Biloxi as the official nonprofit management organization for the historic Biloxi Saenger Theatre.
While the City of Biloxi proudly owns the theatre, Encore Saenger is entrusted with its day-to-day management, programming, fundraising, volunteer engagement, and community partnerships. Working alongside City leadership, we help ensure the Saenger remains a thriving destination for live entertainment, education, and cultural events.
The Saenger Theatre has been part of Biloxi’s story since 1929. Our responsibility is to honor its rich history while creating opportunities for audiences, performers, students, and visitors to experience everything this remarkable venue has to offer.
Every performance, every partnership, every volunteer, and every donation contributes to the continued success of the Biloxi Saenger Theatre, helping preserve its legacy while supporting its future as a vibrant community gathering place.
As a nonprofit organization (EIN: 41-3603894), Encore Saenger directs its fundraising and programming efforts toward theatre operations, restoration projects, educational initiatives, and experiences that strengthen the Saenger’s role in our community.
Encore Saenger exists to preserve, manage, and promote the historic Biloxi Saenger Theatre on behalf of the City of Biloxi while enriching the Mississippi Gulf Coast through arts, entertainment, education, and community engagement.
We honor the trust placed in us by caring for the Biloxi Saenger Theatre with integrity, accountability, and a long-term commitment to its future.
The Saenger belongs to the people of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We create opportunities for our community to gather, celebrate, learn, and connect through the performing arts.
From the performances we present to the partnerships we build, we are committed to delivering experiences that reflect the significance of this historic venue.
We are dedicated to protecting the architectural and cultural legacy of the Biloxi Saenger Theatre while preparing it to serve future generations.
The performing arts inspire creativity, confidence, and lifelong learning. Through educational programming and community partnerships, we help cultivate tomorrow’s performers, artists, technicians, and arts advocates.
Responsible planning, strong partnerships, volunteer involvement, and diversified fundraising help ensure the theatre remains financially and operationally strong for years to come.
